What this means in a real publishing workflow

Instagram publishing through Meta requires an eligible professional account connected to the correct Facebook login. Personal Instagram accounts are not interchangeable with Business or Creator accounts for API publishing.

Recommended implementation

  1. Confirm the selected Instagram account appears in Postifys connections.
  2. Verify the Facebook login still manages the linked assets.
  3. Use a supported image or Reel format and a public media URL.
  4. Reconnect Meta when permissions or managed assets change.

How to verify the fix

Test with one simple image before debugging a large Reel. This separates account and permission problems from video codec, duration, or remote-download problems.

Operational check: Test with one item, confirm the final destination and Postifys history state, and only then enable the recurring workflow. Keep the returned Postifys ID beside the source row so every result remains traceable.

Why professional account type matters

Instagram publishing through Postifys depends on the connected professional account, granted Meta permissions, and the media container rules for the selected post type. A personal profile or missing business linkage will fail before Postifys can submit the media container.
