Step 2: Connect your accounts

What you'll do: Link the social accounts you want to publish to.

  1. Open Accounts in the sidebar.
  2. In the Add Account card, choose a platform and approve access in the sign-in window.
  3. For Instagram, use Connect Instagram (Instagram Business Login). Facebook login imports Facebook Pages only.
  4. To add more accounts, connect again with another login. Your existing accounts are kept.
Common issue: Instagram publishing works with Instagram professional accounts. If an account's access expires, the Accounts page shows Reconnect account. Reconnect it to avoid failed posts.

Step 3: Create a post

What you'll do: Publish one post to one connected account.

  1. Open Create a post and stay on the Publish now tab.
  2. Under Destination, pick a Platform and a Connected account. Only healthy accounts can be selected.
  3. Choose the Post type, paste a Media URL (a public URL or Drive share link), and write the Caption / text / title.
  4. Fill in any platform options, such as the Pinterest Board ID or TikTok privacy and consent.
  5. Click Publish. Repeat for each other platform or account.
Tip: Each post goes to one platform and one account. To post the same content everywhere, publish it once per destination or use the Content Queue.

Step 4: Post History and Retry Publish

What you'll do: Check each post's status and retry failures.

  1. Open Post History. Posts from the dashboard, API, n8n, and MCP all appear here.
  2. Open a failed post to read the platform's error in plain language.
  3. Fix the cause, then click Retry Publish (Resume Carousel for a carousel) when Can retry shows Yes.

Step 5: Automate: Content Queue

What you'll do: Let a job post rows from a table on a timer.

  1. In Create a post, open the Data tables tab and click New table.
  2. Add rows with Add row (Title and Media path are required), or download the CSV template and use Import.
  3. Open the Jobs tab and click New job. Pick one data table, the accounts to post to, and an auto-post interval.
  4. Watch the Pending, Processing, Posted, and Failed counts and the next auto-post run.
Tip: Imported rows must have status pending. Each table can have one job. To hold one row until a set time, edit it and set Earliest time (optional).

  2. Add the Postifys node to a workflow.
  3. Create a Postifys API credential with an API key from Postifys Settings. The default server is https://postifys.com.

  "command": "npx",
  "args": ["-y", "postifys-mcp"],

Step 8: Use the REST API

What you'll do: Publish from your own code with an API key.

  1. Open Settings, enter a New key name, pick Scopes (Publish, Media, Connections, Status), and click Create API Key.
  2. Click Copy Key and keep it in a server-side secret, never in browser code.
  3. Send it as a Bearer token. The API docs list every endpoint.
Example: publish to Facebook
curl -X POST https://postifys.com/api/facebook/post \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"message":"Hello from Postifys API"}'
